Originally released in 2006, this unique Nintendo DS game introduces the system’s stylus into gameplay, allowing users to capture Pokémon with the Capture Styler rather than the traditional Poke Ball as well as control the entire game through the stylus pen. Circling wild Pokémon and soliciting their help allows rookie Pokémon Rangers to maintain harmony in the universe between humans and Pokémon as well as defend themselves against the sinister Go-Rock Squad. Throughout the game’s levels and missions, rookie Rangers continue on by clearing obstacles with the help and special abilities of their unique Pokémon team. The first of a series of Pokémon Ranger games for the DS, players can also pair up this game with its Diamond and Pearl Editions to unlock unique bonuses.
