Description
Major League Baseball Featuring Ken Griffey Jr. is Nintendo’s first baseball game for its 64-bit system features an official license for authentic teams, stadiums, and players. Statistics are based on the 1997 season, with athletes individually rated in contact, speed, power, arm strength, and defense. Four play modes include Exhibition, Season, World Series, and Home Run Derby. Season mode supports up to four players and includes an option for a fantasy draft. Trades and free agency are also available during the season. No matter which mode is selected, two batting options are supported: arcade and classic. Classic mode involves timing each swing as the ball approaches the plate, while arcade mode has you aiming a cursor before attempting to make contact. Options include three skill levels and individual toggles for fielding and running.
